Remember that the Jews of Jesus' day rejected Him and one reason why is that they ASSUMED that simply because he was raised in Nazareth, He was a Nazarene; so he could not possibly be the Messiah --- but no one bothered to try to find out for SURE WHERE he was born. Had they did, they would have found that He was born in BETHELEHEM during the time of the census, not Nazareth!
