I had the opportunity to speak the other night - here are a few highlights:I spoke about dispensations, and about how the Lord dealt differently with man after key events &/or failures of man.e.g. in the garden the LORD would meet with Adam and Eve, but after the fall, they were put out of the garden, and that they would eventually die out there.Or before the flood, man was to herbs and fruit, but after the flood man could eat animals, but not the blood. With the call of Abraham, the LORD made an eternal promise to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants, regarding the land. With the Exodus, the LORD showed that he was the only true God, declaring to Pharaoh, that he is the God of Israel. And after mightily taking Israel out of the clutches of Egypt, he gave Israel his law, a covenant showing how Israel was to live in the promised land. That each one of these was essentially a different age, and that we're currently in the church age or age of grace. That even the catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Orthodox, churches would agree about those ages.We call them dispensations, but those other churches hate that word, because we believe that there is one more dispensation, that they absolutely reject & refuse to believe. That dispensation is the 1,000 year kingdom of the Lord Jesus, who will rescue the remnant of Israel when he returns, and they will be the chief of the nations during the kingdom. No, the catholic church & her daughters stole the blessings of Israel with their replacement theology (supersessionism). Then, in the crusades, they temporarily stole the birthright of Israel, which the muslims had previously appointed unto themselves. They took Jerusalem, and the Knights Templar had the temple mount.Although, not long afterwards, the muslims took back the birthright of Israel. Now that Israel is in the land again, both Rome & the muslims want Israel's birthright for themselves, and not for Israel. They still want Israel's blessings for themselves, but want to leave the curses for the Jews.It is like some kind of reversal, where they are like a modern Esau, trying to get back the blessing & the birthright.Rome rejects, 6 times, the thousand years reign of Jesus on earth, in Revelation 20.So they, since Augustine, are amillennial (no 1,000 year kingdom), and supersessionist (replacement theology), where they consider the Jews as a cursed people, and have hated them for centuries. That is why they consider the word, "dispensation", almost a cuss word, and that, also, why they despise the pretribulation rapture.Because those two things doctrinally declare that Rome is wrong, and that the Lord will keep his promises to his chosen people, Israel.I also mentioned that I had recently heard a man say that with:
Acts 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
That, when they asked about the coming kingdom, Jesus didn't tell them that it's not going to be any more. But that it wasn't for them to know the times or the seasons, indicating that there will be a time for the kingdom, which the Father has put in his own power.
Now, Evangelical & Southern Baptists are going the way of supersessionism. Also, the world over, antisemitism is rising fast, including in the US, now in both parties, but worse, with so many young people, and even among professing Christians.Because of what we believe, we are quickly becoming non grata with the brethren who are either already supersessionist, or are becoming that way.
