Hello John and Doves,
Looks like the answer is
a big fat NO!
We're down in manpower,
money, and will power. We have too few manufacturers
for anything military. We lack the necessary building
materials - like rare earth minerals. We don't
manufacture a lot of parts we would need militarily.
And Ukraine/Israel/Iran have depleted some of the low
reserves in ammunition, missiles, other military assets that
we had. Even though the U.S. spends trillions a year
on the DoD - probably a lot of this has been 'stolen',
'wasted', transferred to black ops, put into secret weapon
development or ?? we'll probably never see, etc.
Enlistment is down - and the 'quality' of people in the
military is questionable in some areas. It's hard to
get people to enlist...it's a tough life and can result in
death, maiming, PTSD, etc. But there is always
somebody causing problems resulting in war....
But I believe other
countries are in as big or bigger mess than the U.S.
Russia has been fighting Ukraine for a few years...they
can't seem to 'get ahead' either. China is has been
sitting back watching all of this...building up their
military strength...
Might come down to
tactical nukes then. We have those in ready
supply. So does Russia, China, Pakistan, India, North
Korea, France, the U.K., Israel...and Iran.
