Proving that the first five seals of revelation are already open is not difficult to do. Also Jesus told us we should know the signs of the times along with knowing where we are on the timeline of history ourselves.

He also told them back in his day, that they couldn’t see the signs they were supposed to be looking for even though they were being fulfilled right in front of their own eyes.

Another case in point. If you or someone you know is living in an abusive relationship, or just living a life of total chaos, drug abuse, porn addiction etc. etc., they aren’t going to necessarily know that the second seal has been broken to “take peace from the earth”, when as far as they are concerned, there never has been any peace in their lives anyway. If the second seal were broken tomorrow (if you believe it hasn’t been yet), how would you even know it since there isn’t any peace now. 

But in general, anyone should be able to tell if peace has been taken from the earth or not. I would submit that peace has been gone quite a long time and the only place peace can really be found is among the real Christians. Everyone else is in and always has been in turmoil, especially internally.

But it shouldn’t matter if the riders of these seal horses have been riding for 2000 years, which is more likely, or 5 minutes, once the seal is open, its evidence can be seen, then will only increase. 

Looking at the fifth seal which describes martyrdom, the marterys that had been killed at the breaking of that seal are already there in heaven under the Altar, so this is not only describing future martyrs, it’s describing those in the past as well. The only question that needs answering here is, when did Marterdom start? 

Once you answer that question, you have the opening of the seal. If we want to say Martyrdom started with the disciples, you would at least be in the ballpark. But one could even go back further than that and not be wrong, if one wanted to count the Old Testament prophets as martyrs and they were, then they are in fact the first ones and are the ones, along with all since, under that altar. 

Once you realize the seal was broken long ago, then it’s easy to also see the four before are broken and open as well. This is why the white horse rider isn’t likely to be the Antichrist along with a few other reasons.

But back to the fifth seal for a moment. I believed for a while that the seal was describing only the beginning of martyrdom, almost missing that in fact when it was opened in this passage, there were souls already there. So it is still possible this was opened in the disciples' days. 

Also for those who believe in a gap theory from Daniel, a gap between the fifth and sixth seals fits perfectly.  Next up: The all encompassing, world changing 6th seal, which includes the Rapture, world wide earthquake, falling stars( Gods missiles) and the beginning of Gods wrath.

This will bring the enemies of God to the treaty table for the signing of the 7 year treaty, that the antichrist breaks in the middle. As we can see right now, the only thing that would bring them to the table is a nuclear bomb, which certainly Israel isn’t likely to ever do. While they would use one if they could. Only God is preventing this from happening, and he won’t allow a nuclear bomb to take Israel out ever. War and trampling of Jerusalem? Yes and scattering them again, yes. And finally sending a remnant to the desert for protection? Yes, but only to come back later to repopulate the earth to fulfill the promise made to Abraham that they will be as many as the sand of the seashore.
