The city is expecting
over 50,000 people to come to Chicago for this event. PLUS
hundreds of thousands of protesters!!

delegates prepare to descend on Chicago for next week's

Walz, is already becoming tempered by a recognition that
the landscape following the convention could just as
easily shift against them...Their overriding optimism...is
tinged with caution."
This will be the
biggest gathering in 8 years - since Barack Obama -
in part "due to its similarly historic nature:
Harris is the first Black woman and first South Asian
woman to secure a major-party nomination.
It's pretty ironic
that the party that doesn't recognize genders as man and
woman, is pushing 'the first woman" to secure a major
nomination." Shouldn't it be the first 'they'?
"Harris and Walz have
already been certified as Democrats' presidential and vice
presidential nominees, though a ceremonial roll
call is planned."
"But delegates'
merriment will be pockmarked by protests, too. Tens
of thousands of demonstrators are expected to flood the
streets of Chicago, where at least six protest marches and
rallies are planned. The coalition of nearly 200
groups plans to protest on a range of issues, especially
the pro-Palestinian effort."
There are still some "30
'uncommitted' delegates - these delegates are
anti-Israel and want Harris "to support an arms embargo
of Israel". The party will be split on the
Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania delegates over this
issue if Harris doesn't give in to their demands.
The New Hampshire
delegate Jim Demers said that if anyone breaks from
supporting Harris/Walz they are playing right into Trump's
hands.

article reported that 6 protests are planned during this
time in Chicago. What could possibly go wrong??

to run protests through residential streets -

According to the below
article, Chicago has agreed to allow 'social justice
organizations' to set up stages and speaker
systems...however "activists must follow a protest route
outlined by the city which is shorter and a further
distance from the United Center."
Two major protests
have been planned - buses will bring "tens of thousands of
people"
There is a march planned for Monday at
noon in Union Park - four blocks from the United Center. A second march is
planned for 5pm on Thursday
And a third
march is scheduled at 3:30 PM Wednesday.
These are
major protests about "Palestinian rights".
Chicago is notorious
for violent protests and not protecting businesses,
streets, non-involved pedestrians and their own police.
A lot of paid
'protesters'/agitators have been showing up via the busses
preparing for their 'peaceful protests'.
I really doubt Chicago
is "ready" for what's coming....
On a side note, IF
Harris/Walz get 'elected' - will their administration be
the one to not enter the Gog and Magog war to help
Israel? Is this why Israel's biggest ally is silent?
