Prior to being saved, I was a strong believer in, and an extreme advocate, for evolution.

At that time, the word prehistoric meant, to me, a time before man had evolved to the point of recording things in writing.

However, now, I think that it refers to the time after the tower of Babel, when they all found themselves with new languages.

They all, suddenly, were speaking differently from one another.

Also, they all probably didn't know how to write and read in their brand new language.

All previous records in the world were destroyed in the flood.

Perhaps there were some records made in the time between the flood and the tower of Babel, which haven't been found yet.

But, until the different language groups developed a written form of their new languages, records weren't kept.

Some developed a pictographic style, like Egyptian hieroglyphics, or the characters used in Chinese, and others developed a phonetic style.

But, until then, it truly was a prehistoric time.
