I have done a rough (and probably incomplete) list of the calamities that August 2023 has dished up, thus far. As you know, August 31st brings us the rare super, blue moon, which will only occur again in 2037. I would like to begin the rough list with the fact that Princess Diana was killed on August 31st, 1997. 26 years ago. That was the first bubble of our innocence and trust in authority, that was cruelly popped. Up until then - the general public trusted in the moral goodness of the royals and government.

Heavy media hints of the return of Covid mandates

Discovery of two new comets. Comet 12P Pons-Brooks which sprouted 'horns' on August 1st. This comet is speculated to be a naked-eye comet during the great American solar eclipse in April 2024 (see link below). The 2nd comet is Comet Nishimuru. Discovered on August 11th, this comet has the Christian world buzzing. 2nd link below.
