There is a race on to reach the moon's south pole. Nations are all vying for this piece of lunar real estate. The article talks about there being water on the moon etc., but I doubt this is about 'science'. I am willing to bet this is all about mining. Precious minerals etc. Who knows what's up there? Gold? Rare Earth minerals? This 'race' is ripe for a war to break out in space.
Quoting loosely from the article:- "Major powers such as the USA, China, India, Japan and the European Union have all been probing the moon in recent years. A Japanese lunar landing failed last year and an Israeli mission failed in 2019".
With murderous wars erupting on our own planet, this excessively expensive race for the moon is obscene. The details in the article are very interesting. Read between the lines!
