My heart breaks for the people of the Big Island. What horror and devastation. My prayers are with them.
In 2018 - the year of Israel's 70th birthday - Kilauea erupted on May 4th. 10 days prior to Israel's official birthday on May 14th. The slow bleed of magma continued until September 4th, 2018. So, the eruption lasted 123 days. This Big Island fire began on Tuesday 8th August, 2023. If there is a pattern - 123 days later lands on the 3rd day of Hanukkah. December 9th.
