Hello John and Doves,
Keep your eye on the Middle
East. Fay is always encouraging us to stay focused on
Israel.
So far, there are two confirmed
countries telling their citizens to leave Lebanon or don't
travel to Lebanon unless absolutely necessary.
On August 4, "Saudi Arabia
calls on its citizens to quickly leave Lebanese territory
and to avoid approaching areas seeing armed
conflicts". "The embassy stressed "the importance of
adhering to the Saudi travel ban to Lebanon."
"On August 1, the United
Kingdom also updated its travel advice for Lebanon,
advising against "all but essential travel" to parts of
Lebanon's south near the Palestinian camp of Ain
el-Hilweh."
Again, on August 5, 2023
"The Saudi Embassy in Lebanon asked citizens to
immediately leave Lebanese territory."
'Kuwait is now the third country
urging all their citizens to leave Lebanon immediately' -
I'm not seeing this in print in Kuwait news, so this as a
rumor for now.
The U.S. State Department put out
a Lebanon travel advisory July 13, 2023 telling citizens to
"reconsider travel to Lebanon"...and "Do Not Travel to": the
border with Syria, the border with Israel and refugee
settlements.

News is coming out of the
Middle East about possible armed conflict between Lebanon
and Israel. Hezbollah is a proxy of Iran -
being used against Israel. And Israel is looking for a
multi-front war to break out this time IF Lebanon and Israel
go to war.
"Israel is currently focusing much
of its security efforts on its border with Lebanon, where
Hezbollah operatives are multiplying provocations against
the Israel Defense Forces."
"The buzz among Israeli security,
political and media circles this summer is reminiscent of
the chatter in spring 2006 about a potential flare-up along
Israel's northern border stemming from a "miscalculation"
that could drag Syria and Israel, and perhaps Hezbollah,
into an all-out-war."
"It is unclear if Israel
is again planning a pre-emptive military strike of any
kind north of its border, but if it is, Syria
will not be the target this time. At the moment, the
threat posed to Israel by Nasrallah is far greater than the
remnants of any Syrian threat....Israel being torn apart by
internal conflict undermining its military's cohesion
and battle readiness, and Lebanon long being mired in
internal chaos, economic collapse and social disintegration,
have together given rise to the current volatile situation."
"While the rumors and speculation
in spring 2006 remained mostly behind closed doors, in
summer 2023, the talk has gone public. Israeli Intelligence
Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva warned at the
Herzliya Conference in May, "Nasrallah is close to making a
mistake that could plunge the region into a big war.
He is close to making this mistake from Lebanon or
Syria." In the months since, the
Intelligence Directorate has issued many more assessments
warning Israeli's political leaders about the danger of a
significant war in the north and about the erosion of
Israeli deterrence vis a vis Hezbollah, in particular, and
the northern front, in general."

In this article August 3, Nasrallah
is claiming that "American interference is the root of all
of the Middle East's problems." He said, "We are
facing a culture and policy based on submission to the
Americans, who break all their promises." He further
blamed the US for the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in
1982. He called for the people to "pour out their
anger" on America.

Saudi Arabia is definitely seeing
some military developments that they aren't liking..along
with the U.K. I haven't seen a written notice from
Kuwait that they are telling their citizens to leave
Lebanon, so so far, that's a rumor. Keeping an eye on
other countries to see if more embassies alert their
citizens to leave Lebanon. That would give us a bigger
hears up.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
Maranatha!
