Following on from my previous post regarding 2 Thessalonians 2:3. I was looking at the Bible study on the same page (see link below) and the cross references. They paint a vivid picture of what we are to expect. I am also experiencing a shift in when each prophecy unfolds. Please stay with me as I try to express these new thoughts.
In Ezekiel 38: 7-9 we are told that Israel is invaded by the hordes while they Israel) are living in safety ! Israel has recovered from a war and are now living in safety.
Ezekiel 38: 10-12 tells us that Israel will be peaceful and UNSUSPECTING and living in resettled ruins.
You can't tell me that Israel is currently unsuspecting of an invasion or living in safety. Which has led me to think (still thinking and trying to make sense) that a big war will occur that Israel has to recover from. Israel will think that this war has eliminated the threats against her and she is now simply recovering. Not suspecting that another - much more destructive invasion is coming upon her. The Ezekiel 38 war. Hey, I could be so very wrong here but I am trying to make sense of it all.
Now, look at the cross references in 2 Thess 2:3. Daniel 7:25 tells us that the saints will be given unto his (the man of sin) hands for a time, times and half a time. Therefore - once this man of sin is revealed, there are 3.5 years remaining of his reign. Please see all the cross references on the page of the link. They are all cross referencing 2 Thess 2:3 and are all about the man of sin. It will become very clear to you.
Daniel 8:25 tells us that this man of sin will cause deceit to prosper. And, IN A TIME OF PEACE, will destroy many. He will even stand against the Prince of princes (LORD Jesus). Of course, he will be cut off but not by human hands. My thoughts were that this is telling us that this man of sin will emerge after a big war. Our LORD Jesus will be here - on earth - during these 3.5 years because the man of sin "stands against Him". How can the man of sin stand against someone who is not present? He would look a tad silly if he were simply shouting against Jesus and shaking his fist at the heavens.
Now we come to Daniel 11:26. The king (man of sin) will do as he pleases and will magnify himself in his own head. He will utter great blasphemies against Almighty God. This seems to be his main theme. People will have been exposed to the truth of Almighty God and our LORD Jesus. The man of sin shouts about this a lot. Therefore - it will be a major topic during the 3.5 years of his reign. We are told that this repugnant man will be successful until the TIME OF WRATH is completed for what has been decreed must be accomplished.
The time of wrath is 42 months/ 3.5 years /1,260 days. The amount of time given to the man of sin to reign. At the end of this time comes the greatest war of them all. We believers are NOT appointed to wrath. See 1 Thess 5:9. Link Below.
After we have been raptured (we are not appointed to wrath) there are 3.5 years of AC reign. The scriptures tell us this very clearly.
