I found this commentary on Jeremiah 6:14 very apt regarding this "peace treaty". On the surface, it appears benign and of not much import. But, the name alone - Abraham Accords - should have frightened all of Israel. This is a direct attack on the Abrahamic Covenant that Almighty God decreed.

Throughout Bible history, Almighty God has urged the Jewish people to trust Him. He has begged them to rely on Him alone. It is difficult...horrific...to imagine what pain this has caused our LORD God. I know He knows the end from the beginning and this has been prophesied to happen - but the choice has always remained on offer. Israel has always had a choice. As do we all. Well, the dye has been cast now. Do we await the hoopla of the formal signing ceremony before we see the wrath of God coming? Will it be at this blasphemous ceremony that the world will witness "sudden destruction" where these leaders will not escape?

The commentary (link below) talks of a situation where the cracks are being papered over - so to speak. Saying "Peace, peace when there is no peace". The Jewish settlers are being told that sovereignty has only been delayed. I have seen protesters placards saying "Sovereignty... without a Palestinian State". Yet - this is what was on offer under the previous POTUS proposal. Sovereignty WITH a Palestinian State. Therefore - what has been put on hold was vile anyway. Another pathetic plaster, papered over a deep and festering wound.

I have watched and listened to many pastors give their opinion on this latest news. They all agree it is vile. Yet none of them seem to realise just how vile it is. This debacle is a blatant attack on Almighty God's covenant.
