This brief news clip re the new "Abraham Accord" is very revealing. If it weren't so tragic, it would be strangely funny. Take note of the difference in tone between Netanyahu's statements and Pres Trump's statements re this "peace deal". This is a great clip to watch as it encapsulates the main points without making us sit through endless drivel. My take is that this deal is all about business transactions - with the UAE having to insist on a halt to the sovereignty issue. Take note of Pres Trump stating that sovereignty is now "off the table". While Netanyahu and his ambassador add the lie that sovereignty is "temporarily suspended".
I was struck by Pres Trump's statements about Christians in the Middle East. Bizarre! He stated that "if I receive definitive proof of the Christian persecution going on, I will act with force against those countries". I am paraphrasing here, but that is the gist. Definitive proof? Mere stories and rumours? This is blatant obfuscating and papering over the absolute horror Christians are enduring in the Middle East.
I know that I risk offending many Trump supporters here - and for that, I am truly sorry. But, this latest is pure bilge. These leaders - ALL of them - only care about getting business done. Making money. They do NOT really care about the Jewish settlers - who are following the Biblical command to settle in Israel. They do NOT really care about Christian persecution at all. It has been going on for years now - especially since 2011 and the "Arab Spring". Now, "definitive proof" is required? They have had years to address this disgraceful circumstance.
They do not not care what the moral circumstances are - money is the end game.
Please come, LORD Jesus. PLEASE.
