CORRECTLY UNDERSTANDING DANIEL 9:27 ACCORDING TO THE APOSTLE PAUL..............
Daniel 9:27
"And he shall CONFIRM THE COVENANT WITH MANY for one week.........."
The Apostle Paul perfectly explains the meaning of Daniel 9:27 as Daniel's prophecy of the ministry of Jesus Christ in :
Romans 15:8
"Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision ( the Jews ) for the truth of God, TO CONFIRM THE COVENANT PROMISES made unto the fathers."
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT:
The apostle Paul says the "he" in Daniel 9:27 is Jesus Christ whose future ministry would be to CONFIRM THE COVENANT WITH MANY Jewish descendants of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. The three promises made by God, to Abraham, were to give them a land, make them a nation, and send them a Messiah. Jesus, during His earthly ministry, was in the act of confirming the third promise of the existing Abrahamic Covenant to the many descendant people of Israel that He was their promised Messiah sent by God to fulfill and complete the third promise of the Abrahamic Covenant made to the many Jews.
PHRASE ANALYSIS OF DANIEL 9:27 :
"And he " who is Jesus Christ NOT the future anti-Christ
"shall confirm" Jesus was in the act of confirming that he was the promised Messiah to the Jews of the existing covenant NOT the anti-Christ making a new covenant sometime in the future
"the covenant" is speaking of the existing Abrahamic Covenant to the Jews NOT a new covenant made by the anti-Christ sometime in the future
"with many" is speaking of the many Jewish descendants of Abraham, Issac and Jacob who were alive at the time of the ministry of Jesus Christ NOT some future large group of nations
"for one week" is speaking specifically of the seven-year-long 70th week of Daniel in which Jesus ministry began but was cut-off in the midst of the 70th week after 3 1/2 years of His ministry NOT some seven-year peace treaty made by the anti-Christ sometime in the future.
The pinnacle of misguided 'replacement theology' is when Jesus Christ is mistakenly replaced with the anti-Christ as the "he" spoken of in in Daniel 9:27. Paul has it right in Romans 15:8. When in doubt go with Jesus, and you won't go wrong !
THIS MEANS:
There is NO seven-year tribulation - it is for three and one-half years only.
There is NO seven-year peace treaty made by the anti-Christ which he is supposed to break at the half-way point .
The anti-Christ is NOT revealed before the rapture of the believers - the Church will not be on earth with him.
These are the mistaken myths-of-men.
According to Your Word, come Lord Jesus !
