KML, Thank you again for taking the time to diligently reply to me. I also rejoice that you are one who believes every jot and tittle of that book. Yes he predestinated those of who get saved to be adopted. Although, he foreknew who would call upon the name of Jesus to be saved, I'm not one who believes that he forced us, by irresistible grace, to get saved. Also, like I believe that he foreknew that Judas would betray him, but not that he forced Judas to do it. I believe that somehow, the LORD can elect us, while simultaneously we make a freewill choice. So, on the aspect of unconditional election, I believe that somehow both Calvin and Arminius are both correct about that, rather than only one or the other being correct. In that context, I also believe in the total depravity of man - without the Father drawing us, without granting us repentance, without imparting us faith through his word (Rom 10:17), and without the conviction of the Holy Ghost, we could never get saved. That would be similar to how both time and eternity exist simultaneously. I agree also with the perseverance of the saints. What I have not agreed with, over the years, is limited atonement (I Jn 2:2) nor irresistible grace (Ac 7:51).
