To Gino: Who is this Who comes from Bozrah in Edom?
I wrote two letters for the 22 July 2018 Five Doves: Could the Psalm 83 War Climax at Bozrah and Who is this Who comes from Bozrah in Edom? (links to these two letters are below). You asked me whether the one who comes from Bozrah in Edom is Jesus after He returns to Earth? (I have copied your question below).
My view is that the Bozrah war takes place well before the return of Jesus to Earth at the end of the seven years (time of Jacob’s trouble). While I view the Rapture as imminent, I believe that Israel will face three future wars: Psalm 83 (the countries immediately around Israel), Ezekiel 38 and 39 (a wider arc of nations) and all the nations of the earth (Zechariah 12:3). The first of these wars is far more prophetically important than we may have realised. Psalm 83, Isaiah 34 and Isaiah 63 combine to highlight this war. In Isaiah 34: 5,6 we read the following about the intervention of the Lord in this battle:
For My sword shall be bathed in heaven; Indeed it shall come down on Edom, and on the people of My curse, for judgment. 6 The sword of the Lord is filled with blood.
Bozrah (a place of war) and Petra (a place of refuge for the Jews from the Antichrist) are different locations. The overwhelming victory for Israel at Bozrah will open up the nation for the return of the scattered Jews to Israel (Isaiah 11:11,12). It will also be judgment on the (left behind) Church and Replacement Theology. The year of vengeance will in time give way to the strengthening of the Antichrist world system.
The prophetic word shows the intervention of the Lord from Heaven in this Psalm 83 battle. The question remains as to whether any earthly figure is involved. It could be that the end-time prophet Elijah is the one who intercedes for Israel. His life may be even be taken at the hands of Islam/Rome in the way that john the Baptist’s life was taken by Rome.
So to answer the question as best I can, given that there are unfolding mysteries in the prophetic Scriptures, when Jesus returns to Earth (the Mount of Olives) at the end of the Tribulation he will in some way gather the remnant of Israel from Petra, but by then Bozrah and parts of Edom will be uninhabitable (as described in detail in Isaiah 34).
Hope this helps. Denis in Canberra Maranatha!!

"RE: Denis Hart: 07.22.18: who is this who comes from Bozrah in Edom?"
Denis,
You indicated, in the scriptures that you quoted, by some underlined, some bold, and some red.
Apparently, those highlights, taken together, answer the question of the title of your letter.
May I ask you specifically, though, do you believe that it is speaking of Jesus, after he returns to the earth?
I had always thought about it that way.
If so, then after Jesus comes down to Jerusalem, does he then go to Edom?
Doesn't he tread the winepress there?
Does he rescue any Jews in Edom, that may have fled there during the tribulation?
