"Commentary on Daniel 12: s"

I found this fascinating. I hope you do too. It will make you question whether the "continual sacrifice" or "daily burnt offering" is taken away or abolished, is actually speaking of the past when it WAS abolished! That it's not some future event. Hey - I could be very wrong. However, the learned commentators in this link also struggle with the wording and the timing. It's called critical thinking, Doves. Thanks to the computer age, we can research these things for ourselves and not rely solely on self proclaimed sages.

I recall the furor recently, when Pastor JD Farag announced that he had realised that the word "Apostasia" in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 literally means 'defection or revolt'. A large number of Christians had taken to putting this verse to mean that apostasia meant 'falling away' and used it to suggest that this could be translated as the rapture. Ultimately leading them to believe that the rapture must occur first before the man of sin could be revealed. Certain people were not happy with Pastor JD's new stance on this. I took it upon myself to research it thoroughly and came to the same conclusion as Pastor JD had. We have the tools at our disposal - there for our free use. It's also very exciting - bringing to life scripture in all it's richness. I always pray for guidance and plead for understanding when researching.

The implications of this scripture in Daniel 12:11 being a past event - the 1,290 days tying into Antioch's' death (the commentators do point out that historical recording of this do not provide enough detail to tie this in conclusively) mean that certain fixed ideas about the Temple having to be physically rebuilt on the Temple Mount in order to restart daily sacrifices could be way off the mark. Again - I could be very wrong. However, common sense tells me that time is running out for this to be a future reality. The Revelation 12 sign is due this September. It's the 50th year since Jerusalem was recaptured by the Jewish people. It's 69 years since 1948 and 70 years since the 1947 UN resolution to allow the formation of Israel, back in the Holy Land of their ancestors. The muslim's would go stark raving ape if the Jewish people attempted to start building the 3rd Temple now. Time is running out, is my point. Everything is in place for our beloved LORD to make His appearance soon. This event is recorded in the book of Revelation - which sticks to one timeline to the end. 1,260 days - 3.5 years - 42 months.

We have to do our own research - seek our LORD's wisdom. Explore the commentaries and use the Lexicons, which are a google search away. And we have to make a decision as to whether we accept the prophecy from young Natan. Recognise the young lad as a true prophet from God ........or reject it. Because if you accept Natan's prophecy and are awaiting it's soon fulfillment, then you must accept that the Temple will actually descend from heaven itself. It is my whole hearted opinion that Almighty God provided a 2nd witness with Caroline's testimony. Both Natan and Caroline had to go through intense judgement first, before prophecy was given to them. Natan saw everything from a heavenly angle. From up above. Like a movie of the future. Caroline saw things as they would be from an earthly perspective. She was right there, on the ground and in THE day. It's truly wonderful, the different perspectives these two were given. Almighty God ensured that for our benefit.
