The letters to the 7 cities are a key to understanding the whole book. Most people don't know how the key works, but the meaning of the names outlines the content and timing of Revelation. https://youtu.be/rOkvY4pz1wc explains it all, and this is probably the BEST of all the videos I have posted in the existing collection.  The 7 cities are not about 7 "church ages." But each city name symbolizes something and has meaning in Hebrew, even though all city names were Greek speaking cities with Greek originating names.  6 of the 7 names also mean something in Greek.   And there is a fascinating connection between their Hebrew meaning and their Greek meaning.

The letters to the 7 cities in Revelation hold the key in understanding the timing of the book of Revelation.  If you ever thought Revelation was jumping out of order, once you understand how the sequence of events was written to fit the thematic pattern of the 7 cities it will become clear that it is not randomly jumping around and you will understand the proper perspective for why it suddenly moves to the end even though it is in the middle of the chain of events.
