The beginning of the Age of the Gentiles, that specific time period in which Gentile believers are enfolded by God into the Church, unquestionably begins when Cornelius the righteous Roman, who (along with his household) believe in Jesus as the crucified and risen Son of God.
This is found in Acts 10, and you should read the entire astounding chapter. It is no doubt one of the most important chapters in the entire Bible.
The Apostle Peter on a roof top, has to be shown a vision three times, and be told a certain truth three times, to prepare him for what is about to happen. After the visions he is told to go downstairs to meet three men sent specifically by the Holy Spirit, and he is told to "doubt nothing". He does so, and in response to his question of why they are seeking him, these men answer ...
Acts 10:22"And they said, 'Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee'."
These men speaking to Peter are the first ones to say the name Cornelius, so Acts 10:22 is the first time the name of a gentile who would become a Christian is mentioned, and is the first word out of their mouths.
In the recommendation of Cornelius that they make to Peter, the words " good report" are actually Strong's 3140g Martureo, meaning to bear witness, to testify, to bear record.
Like all words in the Bible, it has a number value. That in-text value is:
1776
Cornelius is the gate that swings open the Age of the Gentiles.
It looks to me that the 1776 number can be reasonably interpreted to represent the gate that closes the Age to the Gentiles; and that number means one thing and one thing only: the United States of America.
I propose to the reader that a certain USA event will close the age of the Gentiles, and that the full number of the gentiles will be reached at that time.
Roman's 11:25"For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in."

It's possible, but not provable, that the 911 USA event is more than just a terrorist attack, but signaled the end of an Age; or it's presence in the verse may indicate that 9-11 was a forerunner event and a different USA event will close the Gentile Age.

On an additional note, that Strong's number 3140 should be addressed.
3140 = 157 x 10 x 2
157th prime number = 911
... and 157 is a known 9-11 event number. 157 people were killed in the two planes that hit the Twin Towers.
