Jan Markel of Olive tree Ministries (Understanding the Times )
has a very timely message on the Silence in our Churches regarding relevant Bible Prophecy.
The Silence in our pulpits is strongly warned against in Ezekiel 33
and Ezekiel 34.
They say that silence is golden, yet J Vernon McGee ( Through the Bible Radio), said that "Silence is Yellow."
When Jim and I became Born Again in 1977, Bible Prophecy was a Hot Topic across America, greatly encouraged by Hal Lindsey ( "The Late Great Planet Earth" ) and also by Pastor Chuck Smith, founder of the Calvary Chapel movement.
Today, there is very little Relevant Bible Prophecy spoken of by our preachers, teachers and fellow nominal Christians. Only the Holy Spirit can ignite the fire of zeal in our hearts to seek the Lord's words for our times, and for us to share with others the coming events that are even here now.
I have found that if I share 1 Thessalonians 4 and 5 and 2 Thessalonians 1 and 2 Before I share the Book of Revelations ( Apocalypse), then people are more willing to listen. They are told of the Rapture first, before they learn of the coming judgments for the hard-hearted.
"I have come to cast fire and what will I but that it be enkindled"
