John and Doves,
The autumn season lends itself to deep reflection and soul-searching.
As a youngster, I used to like to slip away at this time from my home down to the huge public park, so vast and full of nature with hardly anyone around, just to think. There was a running brook hidden in a cavernous area that was a favorite place of mine to meditate.

Little did I know that I was living out Elul before I ever knew there was such a time. God's Spirit speaks to us, even when we don't realize it.
