"Fourth One"
Dear Brothers and Sisters, people of God
Do you feel like me? We weep! We call out: Our
eyes see, our ears hear but we are immobilized, powerless, helpless
having been rendered ineffective by the workers of iniquity in our own
land whose leader, Nebuchadnezzar, has tied us up just like the
Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah as we observe the lawless go through the
land and the world looting, annihilating what is before them and guilty
of spilling blood.
Like Habakkuk we too cry out: “O LORD, how long shall I cry, … you
show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and
violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and
contention, the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for
the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment
proceeds .… the Chaldeans, … They are terrible and dreadful … they do
not spare … they slay…”
Yes, Lord, we are in our fiery furnace (but not getting burned) in our
spirit as we see wickedness prevail and are unable to help the
helpless. Our mouths are not tied, so we come to You crying out
for deliverance from the enemy of our souls and like Habakkuk say, “I
will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to
see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved
(or corrected).”
Like David will say, “O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion
in the land of the living….” BELIEVE “…the just shall live by his
faith…” You, O Lord, are faithful and we are not consumed
since a fourth one, like the Son of God walks in the midst of the fire.
