"Mark of the beast"
Spirit5,
When it comes to the mark of the beast we are furnished the following: REV 13:18
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of
the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred
threescore and six.
God is not complicated in what he tells us, to explain the above I think
mult-page thesis can be discounted. God uses the simple things to
confound.
Here is wisdom – we are being told directly here is the answer
Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast – a calculation is in order here
It is the number of a man – the number of a man is the age of a man
A man’s life is started in months, not years.
His number is 666, his age is 666 months.
Obama’s birthdate is advertised as August 4th, 1961. His end time
office for president is January 20th, 2017. If you plug that into
an excel date calculator that is 20,258 days.
666 months = 55.5 years x 365 days = 20,257.5 days (this does not
include math for leap years but the calendar of Revelations did not use
leap years to my knowledge). I suppose that everyone is age 666
months at some point in life but I find the above to be problematic with
Obama’s birthday and end term office. I also believe that with
Obama having won a Nobel Peace Prize, first US President ever to chair
the UN Security council and that in all probability he will be Secretary
General of the UN, wielding more power globally than ever before has
been seen. I would not be surprised to see him in office there for
42 months.
I have shared this with a few people. The mark of the beast has
always been a puzzle/riddle to me. I am a common man; I read the
bible, but I am an engineer not a bible scholar. I go to church, I
believe Jesus died on a cross for me, I am an x-green beret if such a
thing exists, former US Army Special Forces. That is the cliff
notes on me. I say that to say I always like to run (Special
Forces in me still), and all too frequently I will look at my watch and
my mileage will say 6.66. I try never to look at my GPS watch, but
will glance maybe once or twice during a run . . . I can’t tell you how
many times this has occurred, too frequent but it always served to
remind me of my thoughts to wonder what 666 is. When I first did
the math I just shrugged it off, not allowing that I could be shown
something by our God. I ran five miles that afternoon and when I
stopped my time was 55:5:5, which I thought was unusual - more so though
because all day I had been working with the number 666, and 55.5
years. When I looked at my watch is startled me – tugged at
me. I hope I am just paranoid but I never want to ignore God so I
have been mulling this over with a few folks.
Regards, blessings
Steve

Hi Steve,
I wrote the article below back in 2008 (check the discovery towards the end of the post):
