Jim, Glad you brought up the subject Law and Grace.  Before Jesus came the Hebrews couldn’t even keep the law and they were the ones that had it: a few did keep it.  That’s why they were taken to Babylon and then ruled by the Persians, Greeks, Parthians, Romans, etc. Then Jesus came to the rescue of all mankind.  It was always God to the rescue in Egypt, and Persia and finally Rome.  All we have to do now is REPENT, BELIEVE, RECEIVE AND FOLLOW IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS.  That is, do the works of Jesus as he said in the following:

 

Mark 16:15-20 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

    [19] So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. [20] And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

 

So all the tribes of the world have now received this LAW OF GRACE.  You are sent when you receive Jesus as savior: to your neighbor, confess who you are now, you are a believer, etc.   jfh
