Ever since the Gaza troubles erupted, I have been appalled at the outpouring of hatred towards the Jewish people. The demonstrations in Europe - America and the world. A  tumultuous, angry mob - baying for Jewish blood. Thousands of Christians, in the Middle East and Africa, have been jailed for their faith - tortured - beheaded - forced out of their homes by the muslim hordes. Blowing themselves up like animals, frothing at the mouth and bawling out that their savage "god" is greater. Hoisting heads on poles - posting you tube videos of live throat slitting. Kidnapping young girls - blowing up buildings where innocent people were simply trying to watch the World Cup. The slaughter of innocents in Ukraine -  I am numb with shock. Amidst all of this unmitigated horror, we have a POTUS that still insists that Islam is a religion of peace and love and was/is integral to the very fabric of the USA. We have the EU which - to all intents and purposes is aiding all sides in the ME (as is the USA). It has reached a point where none of us know if Putin is the "bad guy" or not!! 'Normality' has ceased to exist. A demonstration was going on in a major city in UK. My son's girlfriend was prodded in the chest and told that she was an "ignorant Jew". She's 20 years old. I told her to stop wearing her Star of David. It makes her a target. She cried. I cried. Actually - we sobbed. The new reality is utterly shocking.

Amidst this horror and chaos, Bible prophecy is unfolding. Headline for Headline. Israel has taken centre stage, just as prophecy tells us it will. My one port in the storm - a harbour of my Christian faith, has been Five Doves. Yet, time and time again, I have found myself having to defend the legitimacy of the Israeli Jews. If it isn't one person posting putrid articles about the Jews secretly serving satan, it's been others denying the holocaust. Then the tired old, ugly head of replacement theology rears it's tenacious head - AGAIN. As if it's important! Seriously - in view of what is happening in the world? The MIddle East on fire - attacking Israel, again and again? Certain people are still questioning the legitimacy of the Israeli people?? It's incredible. What should be of paramount importance, to all Bible believing Christians, would be to COMFORT one another in these awful times. Not argue, futilely, over who is what or not. Pathetic. Like it or not - it's just another form of anti Semitism. What is important is that it's pretty clear that our LORD Jesus is coming very, very soon. Things cannot go on as they are. It's very clear as to why the LORD is furious with Israel. Why He calls Israel (Jerusalem specifically) "spiritually known as Sodom and Egypt". After all - Tel Aviv is called the gay capital of the world! Not excusing this affront to our LORD, I would still like to remind everyone that Israel is the one democracy in the ME. The only country where human rights - gender equality - religious freedom etc., etc., is in abundance.

The abortions, the gay agenda, the slaughter of Christians. The attacks on Jews. It couldn't be clearer........... our LORD and Saviour is on His way. Let us comfort one another. For we have little strength.
