"A Connection of Tisha B' Av and Hanukkah"
Dear Doves:
The God's message of "Tisha B' Av" (Av 9) can be applied to the Believers in the Church Age.
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is
holy,
which temple ye
are"
(1 Corinthians 3:16-17 KJV)
I think this Scripture means that as God allowed the two corrupted ancient Temples to be
destroyed by the enemy, He will leave the defiled temples of the Believers in the Tribulation.
Therefore, it's required that the Believers should keep their temples to be holy all the time.
For this reason, I believe the theme of Tisha B' Av is exactly same as the feast of Hanukkah.
Hanukkah last year was observed for 8 days from 11/28 to 12/5.
Amazingly 8 months from last Hanukkah is Av 1 to Av 8 which is one day before Tisha B' Av.
It seems that God delays 8 months for the Believers to make their temples to be clean and holy.
Therefore, Av 8 could be the cutoff date as the door of Ark is shut.
Then, as Jean Stepnoski wrote in her post of July 27, 7 days from Av 9 to Av 15 could be a period
of the final preparation for the Bride, and Av 15 could be the day of the Blessed Hope.
Hopefully & Maranatha!
