Readers - If the number 527, Jared's age when his son Enoch is taken by God to Heaven in Genesis 5, is converted to minutes, you have the following - Using the afternoon 5:27, the math is simple. 5 pm = 17:00 hours, or the 17th hour of the day. 17 x 60 = 1, 020 minutes. 1020 + 27 (the remaining minutes) totals 1047 minutes. 5:27 pm = the 1047th minute of the day. While inserting 1047 into the Bible Wheel data base, I wondered if any verse or word would have any reference to descending or going down, as Jared means to "descend". Two verses have words in them that have an in-text total of 1047; the verses themselves have the concept of going or coming down - surprisingly both in Peter's letters. In addition, both verses mention angels! 1 Peter 1:12 "Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost SENT DOWN FROM HEAVEN; which things the angels desire to look into." 2 Peter 2:4 "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but CAST THEM DOWN TO HELL, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;" Next I checked Strong's numbers - Strong's Greek 1047 appears in one time in one verse: Acts 8:27 "And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her TREASURE, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship," ... What is the greek word for "treasure" that's used in this verse? Perhaps you have done a puzzled double-take if you read Acts 8:26? Here are the two verses together: Acts 8:26-27 "And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south (unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto GAZA (the actual city name, Strong's 1048g, meaning "TREASURE"), which is desert. And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her TREASURE (gaza, greek word meaning riches), and had come to Jerusalem for to worship," So, an Angel tells Philip to go to the road that descends to TREASURE (Gaza) from Jerusalem. There he meets an Ethiopian Eunuch in charge of TREASURE (gaza). I'm not going to repeat what I wrote in the article linked above - but it appears to be a double witness. Two references to Gaza, back to back, or in successive verses. Since, at this time, Israel and Gaza are locked in a violent conflict - we edge closer to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Gaza being a reference point.
