Um, I disagree. Let me preface by saying that I am not trying to insert history as doctrine. I don't take British/Israelism seriously, but there is a huge body of historical anomaly that needs explanation. You said:

"A book that was published just last year has shown that 90% of the Jews in Israel today are not "Biblical" Jews at all, but have genetic DNA that connects them with the "Khazars" a tribe that once occupied the region of central Eurasia.  In Israel today, the two major groups are either "Sephardic" or "Ashkenazi", the "Ashkenazi" are tracked back to the "Khazars" in the Step Plateau of central Eurasia.  The "Sephardic" Jews can track their Biblical identity back to Abraham, Issac and Jacob. "

The Khazars were anything but a tribe. THEY WERE A MAJOR AND POWERFUL KINGDOM!

If 90% of the Jews in Israel today are not Jews, then is our "watching" in vain indeed! Arthur Koestler, author of the Thirteenth Tribe, would be pleased. See this for an overview: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashkenazi_Jews#Genetic_origins

I'll start with the Khazar Kingdom. To it WE TWICEFOLD OWE WESTERN CIVILIZATION! 1. They allowed the Parthians to pass through the Kingdom to the Caucasus Mountains and into Europe.  Ballpark 300 AD.  2. They barred the same route to Islam. The kingdom was noted for its religious tolerance. All three monotheistic faiths coexisted in the kingdom plus a number of others. Yes, a small minority of the ruling class converted to Judaism.

I think we all look for tidy, everything happens at once historical occurrences. For instance, it's assumed that the ten tribes were lost with the Assyrian invasion.

Are we serious? The Assyrians moved a relatively small number of people ... 50, 000 or so. THIS FROM A NATION THAT COULD ONCE FIELD AN ARMY OF 500,000!!!!!!!!!!! No, the migrations had been going on piecemeal for many years, much of  it famine and drought driven.

I'll leave detail and reference for a later paper. There was seaward route via Phoenicia to Carthage to Europe. There was the northern land route to what would become Parthia. And there were other minor routes eastward and southward.

The question is this: Were the Parthians in whole or in part Israeli? I'll address this in later missives.
