Poignant indeed! And heart-breaking!
According to Genesis 12:3 I believe that the blood of the valiant IDF soldiers slain in Gaza will be on the hands of our leaders who are currently cursing Israel.
In the natural it seems futile, but I'm convicted to obey 1Tim2 and pray for those in authority over us.
God is able!
