ISNA -- the Islamic Society of North America -- is having former president Jimmy
Carter to be the keynote speaker at their 4 day convention in Detroit, Michigan
from August 29--September 1 ( Labor Day weekend 2014. )

There are four major Muslim conventions at the same time that weekend:

1. ISNA

 

2. Islamic Medical Association of North America

3. Muslim Student Association  ( College age )

4. Muslim Youth of North America

Also, they will feature a "surprise" speaker at the convention.
