   LIVING LIKE CHRIST LIVED ?

We hear this a lot. "If you are really a CHRISTIAN,  you"ll LIVE like
JESUS lived.  What!? That's what defines us as Christians? Are you
kidding me? I would love for someone to point out to me just ONE
person on Earth who is living as CHRIST did.  That is to say ONE
ADULT person. Kids under the age of reason don't count.  Where would
they be?  In some remote village in India?  Has the media discovered
this person and are just not telling of their identity and whereabouts?
This would be of worldwide interest I should think.  Do you think there is
a possibility that some missionary somewhere has run across a person
who is living like CHRIST and doesn't want to reveal them because of
all the media attention and thus making it harder for them to continue
to live in such a manner? You know how the PAPARRAZZI  would
handle such a person? They would make it even harder for the poor guy.
       No!  I don't believe there is such a person, not yet anyway.  The
closest the world will come to seeing a person living like CHRIST will
probably be the "anti-christ".  He will try to emulate Christ and from
what the Bible tells us, he will have satan's super-natural help in doing
so. In fact, he will fool all those "left behind" into believing that he is
indeed Christ (of sorts).  For us mere humans I think living like CHRIST
is an unachievable goal that no one could ever reach without help and
reason from above.
      No, our Hearts are too Evil to even approach living like CHRIST.
Fortunately GOD knows this about us and sent us a SAVIOR that
we are supposed to get to know personally so that HE will intercede
for us so that we can know our GOD and  then LIVE LIKE JESUS
when we are transformed in HEAVEN and be a BROTHER (and
SISTER? ) to JESUS and then, AND ONLY THEN will we be able
to LIVE as CHRIST did.
       Now, all this is not to say that we cannotTRY to live as CHRIST
did. That would be a GOOD thing to TRY to do.  But we must also
understand that we will fall far, far, FAR short of that goal!  The
thing is not to be frustrated and get down about failing so miserably
In our efforts.  We can thank our LOVING SAVIOR for knowing
this about us and LOVING us anyway. Besides no where in scripture
does JESUS ask us to BE LIKE HIM.  what HE does ask us to do
is OBEY HIM !  And LOVE ONE ANOTHER!  And to pick up our
OWN CROSS and FOLLOW  (OBEY the HOLY SPIRIT'S  instructions)
in leading our lives.  Of course we have to be able to HEAR the H.S
in order to OBEY HIM.  Trying to LIVE like CHRIST is a good GESTURE
on our part, but submitting to, and OBEYING the HOLY SPIRIT is
probably a better path to walk, besides, JESUS told us to !
