"Re: The three days of darkness - A question as to its source?"

To all the Doves:

From time to time, I have read posts about “The three days of darkness”.  Can anyone confirm where this possible/expected end-of-days prediction comes from?

The only source I can find for it, is from a Marian Apparition that are claimed to have occurred from 1961 to 1965 to four young schoolgirls in the rural village of San Sebastián de Garabandal in the Peña Sagra mountain range in the autonomous community of Cantabria in Northern Spain.

I have multiple concerns the biggest of which is that it comes from an apparition of The Virgin Mary.  Second, there is debate as to whether or not the Vatican or the local bishop has deemed this apparition worthy of belief.  Last, I like many, have grave concerns about putting stock in such apparitions regardless of any formal declaration.
