Hi:
Thanks for reminding me of Jer 8:20. It says, "The harvest is
past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved."
Maybe the foolish virgins will be saying this after Sept. 19,
2013, the Autumn Equinox.

Jer 8:11 says, "For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of
my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no
peace."
Jer 8:15 says, "We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a
time of health, and behold trouble!"

treaty with Israel.
"Obama Meets With Israeli and Palestinian Peace Negotiators"
By Rebekah Metzler, Tuesday, July 30, 2013
"Secretary of State John Kerry announces peace talks will last 9
months...
"Kerry said representatives for both sides of the talks had
agreed to "sustained, continuous and substantive negotiations"
that will resume in two weeks either in Israel or in the
Palestinian territories. The talks will address all the core
issues with the goal of reaching a resolution within nine
months. The process will be facilitated by the United States and
Kerry himself will be the only source authorized to give updates
on the talks...
"That means no one should consider any reports, articles or [any
other] rumors reliable unless they come directly from me...We
all understand the goal that we are working toward - two states
living side by side in PEACE AND SECURITY, two states because
two proud peoples each deserve a country to call their own."
SAYING "PEACE, PEACE; WHEN THERE IS NO PEACE"
Jer 6:14 says, "They have healed also the hurt of the daughter
of my people slightly, saying, PEACE, PEACE; WHEN THERE IS NO
PEACE."
Jer_8:11 also says, "For they have healed the hurt of the
daughter of my people slightly, saying, PEACE, PEACE; WHEN THERE
IS NO PEACE."

SUMMER ENDS ON THE AUTUMN EQUINOX, SEPT. 22, 2013
Jeremiah 8:20 says, "The harvest is past (i.e., Sept. 19), the
summer is ended (i.e., Sept 22), and we are not saved". The
foolish virgins could say this too.
> The natural
harvest of some things in Israel is NOT PAST when summer >
ends.
Some things are harvested through Fall, up until frost, e.g.
pumpkins & olives.
Therefore, this verse cannot be talking about the natural
harvest(s).
The wheat harvest has ended. The grape harvest is over, and it
is a time of "new wine". The oil harvest has begun. The last
olive that can be gathered will be on Kislev 24, the Eve of
Hanukkah.
Neh_10:39 (KJV) says, "For the children of Israel and the
children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the
new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers".
Neh 10:39 (NASB) says, "For the sons of Israel and the sons of
Levi shall bring the contribution of the GRAIN, THE NEW WINE AND
THE OIL to the chambers; there are the utensils of the
sanctuary, the priests who are ministering, the gatekeepers and
the singers. Thus we will not *neglect the house of our God."
Only at Tabernacles would the harvest of wheat, new wine and
olive oil coincide.
The wheat is threshed by pulling a tribulum over it. That
suggests that this harvest is in the Tribulation, i.e.,
Mid-Trib, when Satan and the fallen angels are cast down from
Heaven.
Mat_26:29 says, "But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth
of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new
with you in my Father's kingdom."
Mar_14:25 says, "Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of
the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the
kingdom of God."
Joel 2:23,24 (NASB) says, "Be glad then, you children of Zion,
And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the
former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come
down for you--The former rain (Tishri 1), And the latter rain
(Nisan 1) in the first [month]. 24 THE THRESHING FLOORS
SHALL BE FULL OF WHEAT, AND THE VATS SHALL OVERFLOW WITH NEW
WINE AND OIL."
> The harvest
of the saved over-comers happens just as the summer ENDS.
> Jeremiah 8:20 The harvest [of the saved over-comers] is
past, the summer > is ended [IN Israel on 09-26/27-2013],
and we [Judah and Israel] are not > saved.
Summer ends in Israel on the "Autumnal Equinox Date, 22nd
September 2013 (Sunday)".

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Jas_5:7 (KJV) says, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto THE
COMING OF THE LORD. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the
precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it,
until he receive the early (proimos, autumnal, i.e., Tishri 1)
and latter (opsimos, later, that is, vernal [spring] showering,
latter, i.e., Nisan 1) rain."
> Pray for
the peace of Jerusalem
Lord, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not
saved."
John & Doves:
Jeremiah 8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we
are not saved.
This is talking about "a harvest of the saved over-comers" being
past when summer ends.
It references Judah/Israel NOT being saved at the end of summer.
The end of summer IN Israel is at the Autumnal Equinox OVER
Israel, Sept 26-27 2013.
The natural harvest of some things in Israel is NOT PAST when
summer ends.
Some things are harvested through Fall, up until frost, e.g.
pumpkins & olives.
Therefore, this verse cannot be talking about the natural
harvest(s).
