"Shelva Sirry- the bride of Christ"

Shelva,   You had an interesting post and there are portions that I have studied out and strongly agree with.  However, just wanted to give you a little more food for thought on the whole of your posting.  You wrote:

This is what the LORD showed me a few years ago:
Get saved--become the Church
Get saved--become part of the Body of Christ
Get to know Jesus Intimately--become The Bride

I think this is accurate, but not in the complete sense of what you posted.  See how this resonates with what you know the Lord showed you.

To see where the bride comes from, you simply look to the first Adam.  The second Adam follows the example or God would not have called Christ the second Adam, but some other name thereby not using the first one to help explain the position of the second Adam.  So where did  the first Adam's bride come from.  He fell asleep, and while he was sleeping, God removed a rib and from that fashioned his wife- his bride.  Christ, following the example, is now considered asleep to the world for he died and is no longer here.  While he is "sleeping" in one respect but also interceding on another, the Father through the workings of the Holy Spirit, will draw out a portion (a rib) at the designated time (judgment seat of Christ) from Christ's body, and from that will fashion Christ's bride.  A rib comes from a part of the body that is not only close to the heart but has the job of protecting the heart as well.  What would someone look like, that is acting in the role of a rib today?  Someone of strong steady faith that has the ability to flex without breaking?  Someone who is also dependent on other ribs to accomplish their job?- strong in the relationship department?  Someone who protects the things closest to the heart of Christ?  Someone close to the air supply of the body- air or wind is a term used in reference to the Holy Spirit in action....  I am sure there are other analogies that could be found that further express the role of Christ bride in training as well as his future bride.

But we also have a second example.  God himself, procures a bride before He comes to the earth to dwell in the ark and to live among mankind.  Before there is a drawing out of people however, there is the showing of His power and His sovereignty while dealing with the Egyptian Pharoah.  God majestically dominates and then there is a calling.  Those that follow the calling are delivered from the death of the firstborn.  Those that do not heed the calling, suffer a death and are forever separated from those that listened and responded.  Then there is the "baptism" through the Red Sea and a new life on the other side of this baptism.    But notice that out of the original band of chosen people, how many actually made it to the promised land where the promise of God to rule with them, to protect them, to adorn them.... like a wife, was to be kept.  Only 2 out of thousands.  They all had been given the promise, but because of a lack of faith on their part, they never received the promise.  So also, all Christians are given the promise that they can be a part of the bride of Christ, but only a few will attain the position based on their ability to hold onto their faith- and all that that entails,  until the end.  Even the ability to hold onto their faith comes from the store house of promises God left to us through His word.  If we didn't have those promises, we wouldn't know how to contend for the faith, or how to battle for it, nor how to hold onto it.
