Rosh Hashanah fulfilled already
Full disclosure, I wrote in June pointing out that the three fall feasts are “remembrance” feasts. The question I posed in June was, how could God fulfill a feast in which the people are supposed to “remember”? God, of course, can do something to help us remember.
What does “in order” mean? Yes, the Spring Feasts were performed in order beginning with Passover. Unless you consider the exodus fulfillment, in which case there was a bit of a “do-over” a month later. Which occasion was the fulfillment, the exodus or the crucifixion?
As Christians we say the Crucifixion, but for Israel it is the exodus. Consider the menorah and Hallel Psalms, or Hallelujah Psalms. When defined as Ps 111-117 they reflect upon Psalm 114, which is in the middle! If we label the seven elements we have Passover (1), Unleavened Bread (2), First Fruits (3), Weeks/Pentecost (4), Rosh Hashanah (5), Yom Kippur (6), Sukkot (7). Weeks/Passover represents Jesus’ offering of the Holy Spirit to man and the figure at the center of the lampstands in Revelation. Since the fourth element is in the center, should we count 7, 6, 5; Sukkot, Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah to point to the middle? Our understanding seems to preclude this. Yet, one possible change would have a large effect.
Here we are, in another season of remembrance. The expectation of many is that the Fall Feasts are fulfilled in order. In that thinking, what if Rosh Hashanah had already been “fulfilled” by God. What would be next? Yom Kippur?
We know Yom Kippur literally follows Rosh Hashanah on the calendar by ten days. I have seen in my own study and others that Yom Kippur features prominently in end-time day counts and other indications. Rosh Hashanah (RH) does not seem to be prominently projected into the prophetic scripture. Whether day counts based on Daniel or the lunar tetrads highlighting Sukkot, we are not pointed to RH as often.
My recent study took me through a series of events related to the birth and ministry of Christ. The foundational element of this study is dating the conception of Christ to Rosh Hashanah. Some other day I will explain how this study features several scriptural elements leading through a Summer birth and into the Fall Feasts. Writing here, I will point out that an amazing sign of planets in Virgo occurred during Rosh Hashanah of 3BC. I believe this sign in the heavens marks the conception of Christ and a “fulfillment” of Rosh Hashanah. This event is recorded as occurring after Gabriel spoke to Mary in the “sixth month”, presumably Elul, which ends at RH. The apostles would likely have heard a first-hand account from Mary and known exactly what day this occurred, but scripture has allowed for some mystery. This is very much like Jesus speaking in parables; saying if He did not use parables, all would believe and be healed. The mystery was essential to the plan.
By keeping His purpose veiled Jesus provided that the Holy Spirit became available to all mankind. If RH had been “fulfilled”, keeping this event veiled was just as important as speaking in parables.
So, if RH had been fulfilled what Fall Feast would be next? Why, that would be Yom Kippur, number 6 and projecting to number 5, Sukkot/Booths.
Why am I writing about this now? It is not to convince, or even educate at this moment. As we approach the season of remembrance I know hopes will be very high for RH. Perhaps our blessed hope will spring forth very soon. If not, I want you to know that very powerful days follow that may have even more scriptural and heavenly signs as foundation.
As you consider this please review these posts from June, written before my recent study. They seem very connected to this message. Also, please see John’s tetrad post from the 17th regarding the article “Seven Year Periods…” Notice the 14-year time frames.

"What God remembered"
“I don’t know.” That is my answer to questions of timing right now. My attention is being drawn to the day after Yom Kippur, but I don’t know why. I have noticed that Rosh Hashanah may be a day early in the Hillel calendar relative to the moon. Personally, I am truly watching every day. Be very encouraged for all days. Don’t get discouraged after any particular day. God Bless you all.
