"RE: Mary Anna:
08.04.13: name of Jesus"
Mary Anna,
I'm glad that you wrote that.
It is so tempting to go along with the spirit of the world,
to only use the generic word, "God", rather than the personal
name of Jesus.
No one seems to mind if we generically say, "God", after all,
Muslims & Hindus use that same word.
So many of the "pass around", or "must forward", emails being
sent by Christians lately, do the same,
they generically mention, "God" all over, but fewer and fewer
use the name of Jesus.
It would be interesting if I could hear recordings of my
conversations with people, lately, as well as 20 years ago.
Have I slowly, even imperceptibly, become more like the world,
in more & more using the generic word, "God",
while less & less using the name of Jesus?
I sure hope that I haven't, but I know how wicked my heart is.
I can boldly use the name of Jesus in church or on FiveDoves,
but would I ever use his name in line at the grocery store?
It is so easy to say, "God bless you", but to say "Jesus loves
you" in public, aye, there's the rub.
