"RE: Frank Molver: 07.30.13: how to deal with hurt feelings"

Frank,

You had done an excellent job talking about repentance.

These days that is almost a lost doctrine.

I used to be guilty of giving out a repentance-less gospel, capped-off with a “1,2,3 repeat after me”.

After all, Jesus does care about repentance:

Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Jesus said that he came to call sinners to repentance.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Without repentance, where is salvation? We perish, except we repent.

II Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

However, he is not willing for any to perish, but he is willing that all should come to repentance.
