"RE: Don Henry: 08.02.13: where is God's throne?"

Don,

That was a very good point that you made.

The LORD created time, hence “the beginning”, from the perspective of time, which we exist in.

The LORD created the invisible, spiritual things, and he also created the visible, physical things in the beginning.

The LORD, who created all that, is himself, eternal.

When there wasn’t time, or the invisible world with the spiritual beings, or the visible world with the physical beings, there was the LORD, himself.

When there wasn’t yet a throne created, the LORD always was.

(I realize my error by using the word, “yet”, implying a “before”, i.e. eternity was not “prior” to the beginning of time, but eternity only “is”)

(other places I’ve used terms like “eternity past”, which incorrect, since eternity always “is” - i.e. Jesus said, “Before Abraham was, I am”)

So technically, an eternal & omnipresent being really doesn’t even need a throne, which he made anyway, to sit upon.

Also, where, technically, is the “right hand side” of an omnipresent Spirit?  (John 4:24 & Acts 7:55)

It seems that he does sit, for our benefit, whether on the mercy seat above the ark, or in heaven on a throne (Isa 6, Rev 4 & 5).

Even though he is eternal & omnipresent, he seems to sometimes “focus” his presence.

That would be like on the throne, in the garden, upon mount Sinai, above the mercy seat, in the body of his Incarnation, or in a bodily shape like dove.
