Donna, your post gave me chills. I have often thought that the 'revived Roman Empire' involves the Vatican as it's primary controller. They control so much more than the purse strings - they control millions of souls. I also have a profound sense that the prophecy involving Israel's 'confirming a covenant' (or agreement)could have much to do with the subject of the articles you posted. Perhaps it's a two fold prophecy involving the looming peace agreement with the Palestinians, coupled with the Vatican's push for control of Jerusalem's holiest Christian sites. As Israel's heart has been hardened and spiritual truth is being denied them, these beloved Christian sites are not as important to them and just make for a handy bargaining tool. If Israel's leaders do not make nice with the Vatican - the Palestinians would. Therefore, making it a Vatican priority to fully back and push for Palestinian authority over important parts of Jerusalem. I'm not making excuses for the Israeli leadership, but their backs are pretty much against the wall.
 
On another subject - I want to alert the Doves to a planetary alignment that occurred on 29th July, 2013. I haven't time to cut and paste the links but just google 'Star of David Alignment on 29th July'. The sites are pretty much new agey but the alignment was real. Could this have been a 7 day warning? I am praying so. After all, scripture tells us that our LORD will return on a day that nobody expects.
