Apostle John the Second Witness?  (to David H)

In his letter of 8 August 2013 - Two Witnesses: the Case for the Apostle John, David H asked the question:  has anyone considered that John the Apostle, and author of Revelation could be one of the two witnesses.  The short answer to this is yes.  I am aware of a comprehensive analysis of this possibility by Pastor F M Riley.  A lengthy yet insightful study titled The Future Ministry of God’s Two Witnesses includes a section (toward the  latter part) covering the Identity of the Second Witness and pointing to John the Revelator as the Second Witness (second to Elijah).
