Three days of darkness I believe comes from the book of Exodus. It was one of the plagues of Egypt. God kept the lights going in the houses of the faithful while darkness covered the earth (or the rest of them). It was sent to cause Pharoah to let His people go !!Blessings !!Cheryl G
