Now I can't resist. I'm more of a Jack of all trades and master of none. My resume does include systems analysis, programming, DP management, consulting and a lot of work on behalf of the Boston Computer Society (You're probably not old enough to remember BCS). But, I'm an old, retired geek. Sometime in the late 90's I surrendered, realizing that I couldn't possibly keep up the pace of battling perpetual, encroaching obsolescence. I cheerfully became obsolescent and am happier and less stressed for it.
I do use Parallels. It's a great program except for the fact that it's in perpetual update and constantly wants more disk space and memory than I want to allocate. My Mac with Parallels runs Windows better than a PC. The e-sword Bible application (highly recommended!) runs nicely under Parallels.
Bible Explorer uses X11. Here is their blurb: Mac OS X is based on UNIX and can run many UNIX tools and environments. With X11 for Mac OS X you can use applications that are based on the X Window System graphical user interface. X11 for Mac OS X provides a complete X Window System implementation based on open source software and includes a complete suite of standard X11 display server software, client libraries, developer toolkits, and utilities such as xterm.Your X11 applications work similarly to Mac OS X applications. For example, you can use standard Mac OS X features, such as minimizing windows to the Dock and pasting between X11 and Mac OS X applications.
It doesn't work quite as well as they'd have one to believe, at least in respect to Bible Explorer. Oh well.
Maranatha,
Bob

Oh my, another one switches from PC to Mac. What is the world coming to? And to throw around words like "UNIX" you must be a geek! Boot camp works well but I prefer parallels! Is that geeky enough for you. Yes, I do work in the IT field, and could not resist! Have a great day Bob,
