"His Delay, Our Delight! by Steve W."

What a great letter Steve W!  Makes us realize how we can be used during the waiting time.

I think we can all relate to the impatience-changing-lines-in-the-store scenario , especially when in a hurry.

I'm enjoying reading all the responses.  Really warms the heart to see how God is using us in these last days.

God is using John Tng and his talents to shine the light of Christ in so many different ways.

Well, this past Saturday morning, while firing-up the computer, I heard in my spirit, "Free the children."  Hmmmm, i thought to myself.  I think the Lord is nudging me again to "do" something about what He put on my heart some years ago...to sponsor a child through one of the Christian programs.

So, I googled, "free the children." There was a lot to read on the website, so i skimmed through it.   Then i went on "Feed The Children" website.   Again, I quickly glanced at the info about the program.

My attention got side-tracked, checking e-mail, the news websites, of course Five Doves, and a few other Christian websites, etc.

Later that morning, my husband I left the house and were driving towards town to accomplish five errands.

One of the stops on my list was Family Christian Bookstore.  After selecting a birthday card and a few gifts for my daughter, who will turn 39 on August 16, I and my hubby stood in line to be waited on.  There was a customer at the check out counter.  The associate told her about the World Vision outreach program, where you can sponsor a child.

Well, my ears perked up and i strolled up to the counter to get some info to read while waiting.

Just then, another associate at the other register motioned for us.  As he was ringing up the items, i asked him what the World Vision program was about.  He explained the $35 a month helps a child (and their family) with water and many other basic needs.  Each brochure has a nice big picture, with the name, location and information of each child.  He said that they also receive the Gospel message.

We chose a little 4-year-old-boy in Africa.  He has four siblings.  We were blessed, BEING A BLESSING!  I only wish i had done this years ago when I first got the "nudge from above."

God is so goooood and He is so patient.  His timing isn't always ours.  I'm glad He didn't give up on me and kept nudging me until I was led to the bookstore where I could finally complete His will.

Like another Dove already mentioned, just a smile can brighten the day and lift the spirit of someone who may be sad about something.  We can all look for ways to encourage, uplift and be a "delight" to others, during the "delay."

But, sure hope He comes soon!
Looking forward to, even upward for, the Bridegroom in the sky!  HalleluYAH!
