The exodus from Egypt and wandering in the desert for 40 years preceding entering the promised land is a type of our experience on earth before we can enter heaven. It does seem to fit like pieces of a puzzle. The trumpet starts sounding on the first of Elul for 30 days leading up to Rosh Hashanah. Then the 2 days of Rosh Hashanah (No one knows the day or hour) is when the final blast from the shofar will direct the bride to "come up hither" (Revelation 4:1). Then add the 7 days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (a week of years), "Daniel's 70th Week" or "The Time of Jacob's Trouble", plus the 1 day of Yom Kippur and the total is 10 "days of awe" = 10 years. This seems to parallel the 10 "days" (years) that Jesus mentions in His message to the Church of Smyrna:
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life Revelation 2:10. The fact that he says "be faithful unto death" sounds like He is addressing those who may be tempted to renounce their faith during the tribulation period and take the mark of the beast. They will most likely die because of it, but will be saved. No wonder that time should be referred to as "awe" with war, earthquakes, volcanoes, and constant chaos worse than has ever been or ever will be again.
Jesus has already fulfilled the first 4 feasts in order; Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, and Pentecost. (More info on the significance of the feasts is at www.therapturesite.com/feasts.htm ) . The pre-tribulation rapture of the bride seems to fulfill Rosh Hashanah. The bridal week of years seems to happen simultaneously with Daniel's 70th week where the bride of christ will be in heaven and God will turn his attention back to the Jews at the end of the age of grace, and then Yom Kippur will be fulfilled at the Second Coming. The Feast of Tabernacles will be fulfilled when God "tabernacles" with men during the final 1k years of "sabbath rest" representing the 7,000 years and the completion of this age.
Sunday August 19th will be the first day of Elul and the 30 day countdown to Rosh Hashanah will begin. That is just 2 weeks away. Please come take us out of this crazy world soon Lord!
