"Tony Els, the blue
moon, and your figuring on the back of a napkin"
Tony, it is good to see you posting.
Whenever I see the brilliant New Mexico moon in the sky, I
remember your posts on the moon. I do not like living here
very well--hot, dry, far from "civilization".
But because of our weather and our isolation, the moon is
usually clear and close. How many times have I gone out at
night and found it hanging almost
in my yard? And twice I have seen a moon eclipse, once
being a blood red moon, which is not so beautiful. If we
experience that Biblical moon of seven times the
brightness of normal, Katie-bar-the-door. It will be
living in searchlight whiteness here, with the whiteness seeping
in at every crack in the curtains.
I like your "back of the napkin" figuring on Yom Terua.
That fits exceeding well. January 21, 2009 could have been
a beginning covenant day. Yom Terua could be an end point.
