"Rosh Hashanna Rapture
- Does Jesus know the day and hour?"
Dear Brother John Tng and all Beloved Doves,
I had a thought regarding a Rosh Hashanna rapture which I would
like to share with all.
Much has already been noted that Rosh Hashanna is known among
the feasts of the LORD as the day which no man knows - since it
is determined by the sighting of the new moon and no one knows
with EXACT CERTAINTY exactly when this will be.
There are many factors, on the night on which the new moon is
expected, perhaps the cresent is too close to the horizon and
cannot be seen at that angle, or perhaps it is a cloudy night in
Jerusalem and while the moon hangs high in the sky, it cannot be
seen by the eye of man.
This leads me to my second thought, if Yeshua, Jesus was making
referance to Rosh Hashanna when He made the statement - but of
that day and hour no man knows, not even the angels in heaven
nor the Son but the Father only - it would make perfect sense in
this context:
First, the angels do not know when the new moon will appear any
more than man since they have no control of the movements of
celestial bodies or meteorlogical conditions, only the Father
does - He places the moon where He wants when He wants, and
creates cloud cover as He desires it as well.
As far as the Son, when He made this statement, He was limited
to the eyes of mortal man, looking up at sunset, through the
cloud layer like any other man to sight the new moon - of course
now that He has ascended and is with the Father, He looks down
at the movements of the moon where there are no clouds to
interfere and has perfect knowledge of its movement and
placement even as the Father does.
These are my thoughts anyway, hope this blesses and encourages
someone.
