"Approaching gematria with a cudgel"

Hello, John and Doves,

When figuring gematria, it is not like using a bingo cage and just cranking the handle.

Nor is figuring gematria like using a Turing machine.

No, it is written,
"This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666."
Revelation 13:18  NIV

The riches of wisdom seem to be gotten by using your head as a cudgel against the Geode of the riches of the Word of God.

Only then will you expose the treasure trove of gems in and among the scriptures.

If you use a piece of tissue to dust off the Bible, you get nonsense.

Thus, it is written,
"26For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29That no flesh should glory in his presence."
I Corinthians 1:26-29  KJV

You see, most of the Bible is written in "open coded format."
On the surface, the Bible makes more or less mundane or fantastic sense.

Dig deeper, and there is an infinitely deep chamber of secrets, available to all who ask.  The key is Jesus.

If you have to ask, "Who is this King of Glory?", you will never understand the rest of the Bible until you can answer,
    "The Lord strong and mighty,

      the Lord mighty in battle."

If you know this King of Glory, all you have to do is ask Him.

For it is written,

"5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."

James 1:5-8  NIV

He who doubts is like one who complains that certain names don't add up to exactly 666, base ten.  That same doubter will reject any treatment of names, just because prophecy fulfillment doesn't fit into his ellipsis-shaped set of boxes.  Can anyone say, "Left behind?"  LOL

Conclusion?  Love [say it like you're Barry White] will find a way.  [to mix two songs]

In love, John Tng has filled the home page of Five Doves with posts that generously discussed various gematria of the AC.

~Blessings,

Mike C.
