Dear Navi and the rest of the faithful doves,

It's interesting to note that we as watchman on the wall are continuing to fullfill a prophecy spoken by our Lord about fasting for his return, more so in these final days than any other time in history, because of the urgency of this critical time we live in.  
In Matthew 9:15:, "Jesus answered, "How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them?  The time will come whom the bridegroom will be taken from them, then they will fast."

This present age is the time of the "bridegroom's" absence, from the time of his ascension until his return.  The faithful and true church awaits this soon return of the bridegroom.  Therefore, fasting in this present age is a sign of the believer's longing for the Lord's return, a way to increase spiritual intimacy with Christ, a placing of his kingdom interests above our own, a heart preparation for the end of the age and Christ's imminent return, a mourning of Christ's absence, a sign of sorrow for the sins of the world, and a time of intercession for the unsaved.

Could it be that God is tugging at our hearts to commit to this fast until Rosh Hoshanna coming up at the end of this Sept. 2012?  I know for myself he has been speaking to my heart to make fasting part of my daily walk with him.  
I have started fasting my evening meals in the past week, due to the fact that I know for certain that Jesus is coming very soon and I have noticed that since I've been fasting, praying, worshiping and praising him and staying in his Word that its not only drawing me closer to him but its helping me stay spiritual awake with great longing and expectation of his imminent return!!

I would highly encourage all those who are in Christ Jesus to make fasting a part of your walk with him.  There isn't much time left and the Bible says to make the most of every opportunity because the days are evil.  So put on the full armor of God so that not only will you overcome the evil one but also staying ready for the soon return on the Messiah!
