Biography (very brief)

Shimon Peres on 2 August 1923 in Wiszniew, Poland The family spoke Hebrew, Yiddish and Russian at home, and Peres learned Polish at school. He now speaks English and French in addition to Hebrew. Peres has a younger brother, Gershon and is a first cousin of American actress Lauren Bacall.
