I read the book, “The Bible”
I read another book, “Obama’s America”
I saw the movie (2016).
I read another book: “The Harbingers”.
I am not ignorant of the times we are facing.
But here is what is in my heart and mind: Regardless of the outcome of our elections, nothing will save my
country militarily or economically from the things now upon us. Nor can we put our confidence that any
man-pleaser will arise and lead us away from this disastrous direction.
A tsunami is almost upon us, rushing to our shore.
Several days ago I was before the Lord in prayer. Suddenly, I began to weep and weep. It was not because
of America’s problems, but because the more I stood before Him, the more I became smaller and smaller until I felt like dust on the floor. His majesty—His glory—His power and awesomeness were exploding
inside my mind and I was reduced to almost nothingness. I thought, how could such a God choose to work His plans through such ‘nothingness’? Then He spoke: “Without Me YOU COULD NOTHING” but
THROUGH ME all things are possible”.
The only hope for any of us is to humble ourselves in the sight of God and give Him and Him alone OUR will and OUR ways in total obedience to HIS control.
We long for leadership, men like George Washington and our founding fathers who sought and knew God. But where are they? Even our pulpits squeak timidly concerning sin, if not at all. Rarely do we hear men speak out in the face of almost certain persecution and even possible incarceration. There are few role models for our children to admire their courage and aspire to obtain it for themselves. Christians can hardly be discerned as any different from the world they live in.
The only hope we have is that WE WHO CALL OURSELVES CHRISTIAN can humble ourselves before God, confess our sins, and seek His face to help and guide us. Not just a few here and there-- but all of us who say we know Him.
Without such a change, we not only have shaken hands with the devil, but have signed his contract as well.
